Well it’s been a great summer! Sorry been slacking on the reports, but have finally been able to catch my breath. Right now we are in the midst of the annual “mullet run.” This fires off usually at the end of August when millions of mullet make there migration south along the beaches for the winter from the Carolinas. This in turn has our inlet fishery fired up! Redfish of all sizes, flounder, tarpon and jacks have been staged up in the St.Augustine and Matanzas inlets. Soak a live mullet on a 3/8oz jig head along the jetty or fish a 4oz-10oz lead on a 3way swivel with a 4/0-7/0 hook on a 3’ leader deeper in the inlet to target these species.
