Trout - Sea Trout
Although not related to the fresh water trout, the sea trout is one of the most popular catches year round in the St. Augustine and Palm Coast areas. The elusive Gator Trout can be caught on the first coast on artificial, live and fly.
However, average sizes range from 14-20 inches in the St. Augustine area, but the big ones are always nearby. They are an aggressive fish and a lot of fun for all. Watch out for their fangs! Just like the redfish and flounder, the sea trout is also regarded as a great fish for the dinner table.
