Fishing has been hot this past month! Your best bet is to get on the water early! Inshore fishing has been great for redfish, flounder and mangrove snapper. We have been targeting cooler water closer to the inlet. Deeper drop offs along the ICW have been holding the redfish and they been eating live shrimp or mullet. Flounder and mangrove snapper have been concentrated along the inlet and docks.
The nearshore bite has consisted of kings, cobia, amber jacks and a few sailfish. The amber jacks and Cobia have been concentrated on the nearshore concrete culverts. Load up on pogies and start releasing them over the culverts and plenty of jacks should appear! Fun way to sight fish! Kings have been scattered from the beach and all over the live bottom areas around nearshore wrecks.
Best of Luck!
