Happy Holidays! Another one of my favorite months for inshore fishing! Redfish bite has been strong in the creeks as the water temp has been dropping and getting them bunched up! Shrimp or mud minnows will get their attention! A live shrimp will also produce black drum and sheepshead bites!
As the temperature continue to drop it helps clear up on inshore water clarity. Look for reds to be schooled up in the shallows on sunny non windy days! A 3” ZMan Zminnow on an 1/8oz jig head should do the trick!
Nearshore bite has had some Cobia on the wrecks. Water temp plays a key role in locating these guys, 68-70 seems to be the magic temps. Plenty of red snapper in these same areas. There have also been some big bull redfish around some of the nearshore live bottoms. A cut mullet or crab will get their attention!
